All Vichy Intermediate Band Students have a scheduled concert Thursday, April 24th, at Vintage High School's Gym at 7:00 p.m. Everyone is invited to come see Vichy's band students perform along with the Redwood Middle School and Vintage High School's Bands.
All 3-5th grade students will be completing the Smarter Balanced Field Test over the next couple of weeks. This is a new computerized test which is being given to all California 3-5th graders. The tests will not be scored this year, but will provide an opportunity for students to learn computer test taking skills and for the state to modify and correct any challenges with the test or its logistics. All students have completed in-class practice tests in language arts and mathematics. We are encouraging families to take the time to view the practice tests online at the California Department of Education and to complete a practice test with their child. Testing will begin at Vichy on April 22nd. Please click on the link below to go to the practice test page. Your student will be familiar with how to start the practice test from there. Please contact your teacher with any additional testing questions. Thank you for supporting your student's success.
If your child has a birthday in the month of April, there will be a birthday celebration on Friday, April 25th. Please contact your room mom to find out how you can contribute items for your child and their classroom.
All Vichy families are invited on Friday, April 25th as we celebrate Earth Day with a special family picnic at 12:00 noon. Bring a picnic lunch and join your student(s) on the field or at the picnic tables. There will be a school wide contest to see how little trash we can produce on that day, so make sure you pack an eco-friendly lunch!
